About Your Role: As a Floor Planning Analyst at Dollar Tree’s corporate office, you’ll be responsible for the development of store layouts and/or planograms including fixture plans, merchandise category adjacencies, linear footage space allocation by merchandise category, and accurate fixture buyouts for new stores, re-locations, projects, tests and expansions based on approved architectural plans.

Requirements

  • Understanding of store layout, design, fixtures and space allocation by merchandise department and category based on linear footage requirements.
  • Proficient skill set in JDA Floor Planning (or similar tool), Auto Cad, Excel, Word and Power-point.
  • Ability to analyze merchandise space requirements based on store size, display guidelines and merchandise category lineal footage requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work weekends as necessary to maintain project schedules.
  • Willingness to travel to store locations with the ability to gather and interpret merchandise and fixture information pertaining to store layout development.
  • Ability to complete projects as assigned with a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three years of Store Planning, Space Planning or related Merchandising experience.
  • College degree or Associates degree in related field.
  • Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to develop store layouts for new stores, re-models and special projects to include fixture/merchandise plans reflective of the latest fixture and merchandising concepts, including proper space allocation by merchandise category.
  • Create store layouts in support of special projects and merchandising initiatives representative of new concepts and strategies.
  • Support the Cap Ex initiative process completing projects as assigned by project type.
  • Building cross functional partnerships at an effective level with Vice-Presidents and General Merchandise Managers, Zone Vice-Presidents and Zone Sales Directors in Store Operations, and the Store Construction organization in the development of final fixture and merchandise plans as part of the new store opening process.
