About The Position

The Floor Manager at Restaurant Depot is responsible for ensuring that all products in the warehouse are available for sale while adhering to freshness policies and HACCP guidelines. This role focuses on customer service, operational execution, and maintaining inventory levels, all while fostering a safe and pleasant shopping environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop and train team members and build relationships.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Effective management of warehouse operations.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively.
  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment for the job.
  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential.
  • Warehouse, retail, and/or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in using a handheld scanner, desktop computer, and calculator.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all available products in the warehouse are out for sale and maintained according to freshness policies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, demonstrating sincerity and respect in all interactions.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and respond to their questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Operate warehouse equipment according to company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Follow product handling procedures in accordance with company and HACCP policy.
  • Responsible for product presentation, rotation, labeling, replenishment, and backstock organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels through frequent cycle counts to ensure in-stock position of available products.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrate high operational execution and product knowledge.
  • Ensure consistent execution of all department operating procedures in accordance with corporate audit standards.
  • Utilize selling skills to secure additional sales and employ suggestive selling techniques.
  • Communicate code dating issues and monitor product quality to reduce shrink.
  • Plan work duties appropriately during the scheduled shift to accomplish all assigned tasks.
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards in the warehouse.
  • Assist senior managers with interviewing, hiring, and scheduling needs.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines regarding food safety and safety regulations.
  • Assist general team members and in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
