About The Position

The Floor Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily retail operations of the dispensary floor. This position ensures an exceptional customer experience, manages and supports team members, enforces compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations, and helps drive store performance. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a strong background in retail management and a passion for the cannabis industry.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of retail or hospitality management experience; cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Knowledge of cannabis products, regulations, and consumer trends a major plus.
• Must be 21+ and able to pass all background and compliance checks as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead retail staff during assigned shifts, ensuring team performance and adherence to company standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, assist with escalated customer issues, and ensure a welcoming, educational environment.
• Oversee daily floor operations including product presentation, cleanliness, restocking, and inventory accuracy.
• Train and mentor Budtenders and other front-of-house staff, fostering product knowledge and compliance awareness.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with all state cannabis laws and internal SOPs, including ID checks, purchase limits, and documentation.
• Work with the management team to analyze sales performance, meet KPIs, and implement strategies for growth.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, inventory counts, and reconciliation.
• Support promotional campaigns, new product launches, and seasonal initiatives on the sales floor.
• Communicate effectively with upper management regarding staffing needs, customer feedback, and operational challenges.
