About The Position

As a Floor Manager at Hellas, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing daily operations in a high-volume restaurant environment. This position requires dynamic leadership skills to ensure exceptional guest experiences and to lead the front-of-house (FOH) staff effectively. You will be responsible for maintaining service excellence, addressing guest complaints, and ensuring adherence to quality standards while fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of and ability to efficiently use technology, computers (Word, Excel), and POS systems.
  • Proficient in restaurant functions including food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies & procedures, employee management, and recordkeeping.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise and motivate employees to work as a team and ensure that food and service meet company standards.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle the pressure of simultaneously coordinating multiple activities and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, and problem-solving skills with a strong customer service focus.
  • Must have working knowledge of serving, hosting, bussing, expo, and bartending to assist in training and backing up positions when needed.
  • Ability to accurately count, add, subtract and manage cash and payments.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
  • Must possess and maintain a positive attitude and be highly motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, and oversees general operations on a day-to-day basis.
  • Scrutinizes guest experience to ensure any below standard service is corrected.
  • Receives, reviews and acts upon complaints received from guests.
  • Conducts daily checks to ensure quality adherence and standards as well as overall cleanliness in the FOH.
  • Monitors employee performance and participates in employee reviews.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and appraisals; rewarding and disciplining as necessary.
  • Checks reservations and manages FOH scheduling.
  • Approves stations and ensures side work is done, and bar is properly stocked.
  • Ensures that employees look professional and have proper uniforms.
  • Performs and/or oversees FOH maintenance schedule.
  • Checks out Servers, Bartenders and Retail Bakery Sales Associates, solving shortages.
  • Ensures all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
