The position involves ensuring that all areas of the assigned building(s) are clean, neat, tidy, and sanitary. General responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, waxing and buffing floors, cleaning windows and blinds, moving furniture, sanitizing restrooms, collecting and sorting recyclables, and performing special cleaning projects. Additional tasks include replenishing paper supplies and soap in toilets, cleaning woodwork and baseboards, shifting furniture to clean areas, making minor repairs, and reporting other repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes. The role also requires shoveling snow from walks and driveways as assigned. The employee will operate motorized cleaning equipment and perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment to ensure operability. Safety techniques must be applied while completing daily duties, which may include mixing and using chemicals. The employee will assist in setting up tables and chairs as needed and perform related duties to maintain a healthy environment, completing assignments and working with others in a courteous manner under the supervision of a Zone Manager.
