About The Position

Healthy Pet is currently seeking an experienced Floor Lead to join our team. The Floor Lead Acts as a working lead by performing the duties of Operator I and II, Production I and II and backs up the Production Shift Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including one year of supervisory experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
  • Must possess a forklift certification upon hire, or obtain within one week of hire, and maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Balances and work to continuously to improve quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Leads within a team environment to ensure product quality meets or exceeds established standards. Monitors material quality throughout production. Ensures adherence to product specifications. Makes machine adjustments, as necessary.
  • Performs communication and scheduling of staff and daily production to meet production and shipping requirements. Complies with procedures and regulations when arranging finished product.
  • Ensures and documents completion of job and safety training required for assigned staff.
  • Monitors and maintains a clean and safe work environment. Works with Operators on clean-up tasks. Performs general clean up tasks throughout shift.
  • Communicates continually with Operators regarding product output and status.
  • Completes and sends daily production reports. Ensures timeliness and accuracy.
  • Performs, assigns and ensures accuracy of various inventory control tasks.
  • Operates a forklift in compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Verifies forklift and HAZMAT certifications are held by appropriate staff, as required.
  • Performs or assists in testing new products, production packaging and procedures.
  • Monitors and makes arrangements for equipment maintenance and repairs. Communicates with departments involved if repairs effect planned production.
  • Facilitates or assists in facilitation of emergency situations at assigned facility.
  • Ensures raw materials are in supply for daily needs.
  • Monitors and ensures EPD logs are recorded and submitted on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
