About The Position

The Floor Lead at Sur La Table plays a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by supporting the General Manager or Store Manager in achieving sales goals and overseeing daily store operations. This part-time position involves inspiring customers throughout their culinary journey and ensuring that store policies and standards are effectively communicated and followed by all employees.

Requirements

• 1 year of retail sales and customer service experience.
• 1 year of retail supervisory experience, preferred.
• Proficient in POS Systems.
• Some experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Food Handlers Certification may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Sur La Table Sales Associate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support training for all employees to create an informed and capable environment.
• Model and hold employees accountable to customer service standards.
• Communicate Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) effectively to employees.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to employees, addressing performance issues with management.
• Support sales initiatives and create daily agendas for the team.
• Direct employees to maintain appropriate merchandise stock levels and presentations according to visual standards.
• Stay informed about product knowledge and seek additional resources when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with timekeeping practices according to company policy.
• Complete inventory transactions including receiving and stock management.
• Ring employee transactions accurately.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
