About The Position

Join us as a Floor Clerk! We're seeking a dynamic, community-focused, and experienced individual to take on the role of Floor Clerk at our Mt. Airy location. This is a part-time position estimated to work 20-29 hours or fewer per week. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is required. Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
  • A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
  • Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
  • Cashier experience preferred.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good communication and people skills.
  • The ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, receiving orders, stocking and facing products, and the ability to adapt to change quickly and multitask.
  • Receiving products.
  • Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.

Responsibilities

  • Ask customers about their needs and help them in making purchases.
  • Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing decisions.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order.
  • Stock and replace products to avoid any damages.
  • Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
  • Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled.
  • Order out of stock products.
  • Process customer orders and payments.
  • Discard expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.
