We are seeking a Floor Care Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of flooring throughout our senior living and nursing facility. This role focuses on the proper care of a variety of floor surfaces in a healthcare environment and is essential to creating a welcoming, safe, and sanitary space for residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous floor care, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques a plus (training provided)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other materials
  • Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and shampooing carpets
  • Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols
  • Use cleaning chemicals properly and in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Identify floor damage or safety concerns and report them promptly
  • Maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner
  • Work respectfully and professionally around residents, families, and care staff
