About The Position

- The Floor Care Technician at Lifestream Behavioral Center is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all floor surfaces within the facility. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by performing floor care tasks efficiently and effectively during the first shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in floor care or custodial services, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral center environment.
  • Familiarity with various floor care equipment and cleaning solutions.
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to complete tasks within scheduled shifts.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility staff.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums.
  • Apply floor finishes and sealers to protect surfaces and enhance appearance.
  • Identify and report any floor damage or safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks.
  • Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for special events or facility needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any floor care concerns or requests from staff and visitors promptly.
