About The Position

Tresco is seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Care Custodian to support our Federal and State Contract operations. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong floor care expertise who takes pride in high-quality work and understands contract standards, equipment, and safety requirements.

This is not an entry-level custodial position. We are looking for a dependable professional with demonstrated experience in floor care maintenance, restoration, and specialized cleaning techniques.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in custodial and floor care work
• Demonstrated proficiency with commercial floor care equipment
• Knowledge of proper floor care methods for various surfaces
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Valid New Mexico Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass required background and security checks

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in contract-based or regulated environments
• Prior work requiring strict adherence to quality standards and timelines
• Familiarity with SDS documentation, OSHA practices, and safety-sensitive roles

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced floor care services including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and auto-scrubbing
• Maintain all floor surfaces in accordance with contract standards, timelines, and quality expectations
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and related machinery
• Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals in compliance with OSHA and SDS guidelines
• Complete non-routine and project-based custodial assignments as directed
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting productivity expectations
• Flex schedule as needed to complete work during evenings, nights, or weekends
• Travel to SE New Mexico contract sites as required to complete floor care assignments
• Participate in required safety, health, and contract-related training
• Represent Tresco professionally at all job sites
