About The Position

Now hiring for a Floor Care Cleaning Specialist (full time, second shift). Join a team that takes pride in ensuring our office and manufacturing spaces are looking their best! This is a full-time, second-shift position working as a member of the Maintenance Team serving all Penn United buildings to provide top quality cleaning and janitorial services to ensure the cleanliness of the buildings. In this role, you would work primarily as part of our dedicated floor maintenance crew, ensuring all flooring surfaces are maintained to the highest standards. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in maintaining floors (operating stripping, buffing, and waxing machines). Penn United has a variety of floors including cement, tile and carpet.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels
  • Service attitude, commitment to safety and quality
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8-9 hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work second shift Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 12:30 am and Friday 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be to maintain the appearance and durability of our floors through operating floor care machines that perform floor stripping, sealing and buffing operations
  • Maintains cleanliness of all buildings, performing daily routine cleaning of facilities
  • Empties trash and garbage containers
  • Assist with maintaining building security
  • Maintain confidentiality of corporation documents and information
  • Answers doors and telephones after hours
  • Notifies team leader concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, ventilating or needed equipment
  • Meet deadlines for any given project
