About The Position

As a Floor Care Specialist with Frankfort Regional Medical Center, you will be responsible for the floor care of all resilient flooring and carpet throughout the hospital. This role requires operational knowledge of all floor equipment, including vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, and carpet extractors. You will also perform general Environmental Services duties when needed. The position requires working evening hours from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years' experience in the care and maintenance of resilient floors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operational knowledge of all floor equipment including vacuums, burnishers, scrubbers, wet vacs, and carpet extractors.
• Knowledge of floor procedures including dust mopping, mopping, stripping, application of floor finish, and burnishing.
• Ensure proper signage is placed at appropriate locations when hazards are present.
• Responsible for proper handling of all chemicals and following infection control policies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment used to maintain and clean floors.
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining flooring in patient and non-patient areas, offices, common areas, hallways, and restrooms.
• Maintains a daily, weekly, and monthly floor maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for the care and cleaning of all floor equipment.
