About The Position

The Floor Captain at Deaconess Hospital is responsible for managing the requisitioning, transportation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment within the hospital. This role supports the operational efficiency of the hospital by ensuring that all necessary supplies are available and properly maintained, contributing to the overall patient care environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Entry level position
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Requisitioning of auto stock supplies
  • Transporting and storage of supplies
  • Maintenance of departmental supply areas
  • Maintenance of departmental equipment areas
  • Transporting dirty equipment to SSP for reprocessing
  • Restocking of Nurse Server/Linen cabinets with supplies
  • Warehouse Maintenance
  • Other duties may be assigned
