About The Position

Upstate Veterinary Specialties is looking for a Floating Veterinary Assistant to support multiple specialty services. If you enjoy variety in your day, learning new skills, and helping pets and their people during important moments—this role might be the perfect fit. What You’ll Do As a Floating Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support patient care across departments and play a key role in keeping our hospital running smoothly. Responsibilities include: Assisting doctors and technicians during examinations and procedures Safely restraining patients for exams and treatments Processing diagnostic samples Preparing and obtaining patient medical histories Supporting workflow across departments Maintaining clean and organized treatment spaces Communicating with clients and supporting appointment coordination Assisting with procedural setup and anticipating doctor needs Helping maintain inventory and supplies This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across multiple specialty services and grow your veterinary skills. Requirements

  • Positive attitude and commitment to patient care and client service
  • Must be available Monday- Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with animal restraint preferred (Fear Free techniques a plus)
