About The Position
As a Floating Teacher Assistant, this position requires facilitating and assisting students in participation during virtual speech sessions. This position is vital in supporting students' educational experience ensuring that students are engaged and remain on task. Responsibilities also include assisting the teacher(s) in implementing instructional plans and contributing to the overall positive learning environment. This position also ensures the continuance of the education program developed by the teacher(s). The commitment to student success and collaboration with the teaching team will help create an enriching educational atmosphere. As of now, most of the work this school year will be at High Roads School of Southern York. There will be some traveling to other schools in York County to support special education classrooms and supporting virtual speech therapy. The assignment/location for this need could be different from year to year depending on the student needs.
