About The Position

The position involves floating to assigned stores within the area to help cover Pharmacy Departments. The individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department, assist in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, and interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies. The role relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. The individual is responsible for the implementation and adherence to the Kinney Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
  • Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test.
  • Certified Immunizer.
  • Must be able to travel between stores to cover within an assigned area as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
  • Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed and reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner.
  • Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
  • Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third party claims.
  • Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to provide for maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
  • Oversees the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the Kinney Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed.
  • Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns.
  • Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential.
  • Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
  • Ensures all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and reports deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention.
  • Assists in the implementation of all corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
  • Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions.
  • Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines.
  • Assists in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel.
  • Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • $85,800.00 - $127,220.71 per year.
