About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floating Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities based out of Arlington, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining high-quality living spaces for residents. As a Floating Maintenance Technician, you will assist with maintenance needs across several properties, ensuring timely completion of service requests, unit turns, and preventative maintenance. What You’ll Do Complete service requests efficiently and with care across multiple properties Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues Support apartment turns—helping prepare homes for new residents Perform preventative maintenance to keep our communities running smoothly Step in where needed—bringing consistency, reliability, and a positive attitude to every team Deliver a high level of service that reflects our commitment to residents Requirements We’re looking for: What You Bring 2+ years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred) Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair HVAC/CFC certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and adapt to different communities and teams Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Knowledge of laws, EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents and flammables. All maintenance and engineering team members are required to report to work at earlier times (between 6AM-7AM) to remove snow or treat ice during inclement weather. Snow removal is a requirement of the job. Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
