About The Position

Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Floating Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Position: Floating Maintenance Technician, full time 40 hours per week, includes weekend rotation Location: Crescent Crossings and The Windward Apartments, Bridgeport, CT 06608, totaling 226 units between both properties Key Requirements: EPA 608 type I & II or EPA Universal is a very strong requirement for this position, however if you do not have your EPA I & II (or Universal), but possess the skills, experience and drive, RPS may sponsor (and pay) for your EPA within your first 75-days of hire Ability to work independently in multi-site or larger properties, and within a Team environment Perform Porter duties for both Properties Valid/Active Driver's License (verified during background process) At Richman Property Services, Inc., we strive to provide high-quality apartment communities that our residents are proud to call home. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
  • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
  • Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
