About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and flexible Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team as a Full-Time Floating LPN. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple Federal Qualified Health Centers located in Panama City, Gulf Coast State College, Blountstown, Bonifay, Bristol, Carrabelle, Chipley, Freeport, Malone, Marianna, Port St. Joe, Wewahitchka, and Youngstown, providing essential nursing care to diverse patient populations. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care, and clinical protocols. Ability to perform assessments, administer medications, and provide wound care, injections, and other clinical tasks with precision and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in multiple clinic settings and adapt quickly to different environments, staff, and patient needs. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in changing, fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Strong commitment to providing empathetic, high-quality care to diverse patient populations, with a focus on patient education, advocacy, and improving health outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work efficiently in a dynamic, floating position. Strong organizational skills to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify patient care issues, think critically, and take appropriate actions in a timely manner, including escalating concerns to the medical team when necessary.
  • Comfortable and skilled in using eCW systems to document patient information, review medical histories, and update care plans. Familiarity with common EHR platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to provide care to a diverse patient population, with sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic, and language differences. Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, RNs, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Demonstrates a cooperative and positive attitude to ensure efficient care delivery.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care, including documentation, medication administration, and clinical assessments.
  • Ability to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately, utilizing sound judgment and clinical reasoning.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and move patients as required. Ability to lift and carry medical supplies and equipment and assist patients with mobility needs.
  • Must reside in Panama City or surrounding area.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent training preferred.
  • Experience working in a Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Experience in providing care to diverse populations, including underserved and low-income communities, preferred.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with clinical best practices and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing clinical assessments, and assisting with procedures as directed by physicians and Registered Nurses (RNs).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess patient needs, assist with care plans, and document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care practices.
  • Perform routine screenings, including vital signs, blood pressure checks, and other necessary assessments.
  • Float between multiple FQHCs, ensuring coverage and continuity of care across various locations. Assist with staffing gaps due to vacation, sick leave, or other temporary staffing needs.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including infection control, HIPAA guidelines, and organizational policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain the supply of medical equipment, medication, and materials for each clinic location, notifying supervisors when replenishment is needed.
  • Work in partnership with physicians, RNs, medical assistants, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
