About The Position

Thalhimer is looking to add a talented Part-Time Floating Leasing Associate to their Thalhimer Multifamily team in the Newport News/Hampton, VA area. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Leasing Associate, you will play a key role in the success of the community by assisting with various leasing and administrative functions. An effective Leasing Associate is an engaging communicator with a talent for building rapport and closing leases. They are detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy, with strong sales instincts and a passion for customer service, understanding the market, taking pride in presentation, and always following through to make sure every prospect feels at home.

Requirements

• The ability to multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities with ease.
• A strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Dependability and flexibility, with a commitment to working well in a team environment.
• A passion for customer service, and the ability to relate to and engage with people.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with property management software.

Nice To Haves

• MRI experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in marketing efforts to attract prospective residents and effectively promote the features and benefits of the community.
• Greet prospective residents, conduct tours of available apartments, and assist with the application process to ensure a smooth leasing experience.
• Assist the Community Manager with ongoing administrative functions, including processing rent payments and maintaining community records.
• Provide excellent customer service to both current and prospective residents, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
