About The Position

The Floating House Manager is responsible for acting as an interim House Manager for programs as directed by the Licensed Residential Director. The Floating House Manager works closely with Facility Administrators to manage day-to-day facility operations and support the team in the absence of a permanent House Manager. The Floating House Manager is responsible for supporting a culture of respect and unconditional positive regard for residents, and modeling engagement in Team Based Care. The Floating House Manager leads with integrity and honesty, embraces a growth mindset and approaches situations with curiosity. This role actively engages with residents and ensures care is delivered in alignment with the Agency Mission and Vision. The Floating House Manager provides direct supervision for Residential Support Staff (RSS), actively engaging staff in the development of their skills and competencies.

  • This position will require reliable transportation and flexibility as you will float between Residential locations to support Program needs throughout the Portland Metro and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with residents to support movement towards goals and transition planning.
  • Actively participate in Team Based Care, including collaboration and coordinating multidisciplinary meetings as delegated by Facility Administrator.
  • Assist in crisis intervention by coaching program employees, answering crisis calls and contacting appropriate services and support team members.
  • Adheres to and monitors medication management protocol. Works with Facility Administrators to conduct weekly medication audits.
  • Liaise with pharmacy, prescribers, and/or physicians to obtain detailed medication orders in accordance with OARs
  • Lead weekly resident meetings.
  • Collaborate with resident’s treatment team and support system, as appropriate and in tandem with Facility Administrators.
  • Ensure residents receive the highest quality care.
  • Coordinate shift schedule to ensure adequate staffing. Be available for after-hours telephone calls for consultation and coverage needs. Provide emergency shift coverage when coverage is otherwise unavailable.
  • Responsible for facility cleanliness, health and sanitation. Ensures completion of shift duty checklists as well as Safety and Sanitation checklists.
  • Monitor household/grounds for cleanliness and ensure safe environment. Submit work orders as needed.
  • Works in conjunction with Facility Administrator to ensure completion of monthly fire drills. Monitor fire safety programs to include equipment inspections.
  • Ensure adequate program supplies including food and general supply ordering.
  • Model and coach residential staff in development of skills including engagement and de-escalation techniques.
  • Work in tandem with Facility Administrators to provide onboarding and training for new RSS.
  • Work in partnership with Facility Administrators to plan and facilitate monthly staff meetings.
  • Coaches staff with a growth mindset and approaches situations with curiosity.
  • Conducts and documents twice monthly supervision with all RSS. Completes annual performance reviews in a timely manner for RSS.
  • Provides and maintains documentation of employee development of at least 8 hours annually.
  • Responsible for RSS retention/recruitment.
  • Establishes and maintains a culture of integrity, honesty, and unconditional positive regard toward residents.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to staff in order to promote growth.
  • Collaborates with human resources to address staff concerns.
  • Ensures consumer, staff and external stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Reports to sites as interim House Manager as directed by Licensed Residential Director
  • Acts as an additional leadership support to sites as directed by Licensed Residential Director.
  • Attends and positively participate in required meetings
  • Complies with all Oregon Administrative Rules pertaining to the operation of a residential program
  • Participates in training and development opportunities
  • Follows all agency policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Maintains current Oregon or Washington Drivers License
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintains security of all corporate interests (security of keys, files, and facilities).
  • Must have a criminal records clearance through the State Mental Health Division.
