About The Position

As a Floating General Manager, you will serve as a senior on-site leader across a portfolio of multifamily communities, providing operational, financial, and leadership support wherever it’s needed. This highly visible role requires flexibility, strong judgment, and the ability to quickly assess operations, stabilize teams, and drive results. You will travel extensively, including overnight and out-of-state assignments, to support day-to-day operations, lead teams through transitions, and ensure each property meets Trinity’s performance, service, and compliance standards. This role is ideal for a seasoned multifamily leader who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys variety, challenge, and impact.

Requirements

  • Leadership Agility: Ability to quickly assess situations, adapt leadership style, and influence teams in varied environments.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of multifamily operations, maintenance coordination, and compliance.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience supporting NOI, collections, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Communication: Clear, confident communicator able to lead teams and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilience: Comfortable managing high-stress situations while maintaining focus and professionalism.
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality experience for residents and partners.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role within the multifamily housing industry required.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint, ADP.
  • This is a full-time position that requires significant flexibility. Extensive travel up to 90%, including overnight and out-of-state assignments, is expected. Availability for nights, weekends, and occasional holidays is required, along with active participation in company meetings, functions, and events.
  • This position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands and arms. Occasional climbing may be required. Extended use of computers and telephones is necessary. The ability to respond to visual and auditory alarms is required. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to varying work environments.

  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree and industry certifications (CPM, CAM, RMP, CMCA) are preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Yardi, Entrata, Asana, and EliseAI is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strong financial results by supporting effective cost control, collections, and operational discipline.
  • Maintain high occupancy levels through sound pricing, marketing execution, and operational oversight.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate operational and financial reporting in a timely manner.
  • Complete and analyze market surveys to inform people about competitive positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and operational support at assigned communities, including those located out of state.
  • Ensure all physical aspects of each property are safe, fully operational, and maintained to company standards.
  • Schedule and manage vendors to ensure vacant units are market-ready and service expectations are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections of grounds, buildings, and apartment units to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Implement and uphold all company policies and procedures consistently across assigned properties.
  • Step in to lead, coach, and support on-site teams during transitions, vacancies, or performance challenges.
  • Set clear expectations, provide training, and reinforce operational standards across teams.
  • Lead daily and weekly team meetings that are both inspirational and execution focused.
  • Partner closely with maintenance teams, monitoring performance and providing guidance to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening, resolving concerns promptly, and modeling a resident-first mindset.
  • Address complex resident, vendor, and team issues with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
