About The Position

The Floating Financial Services Representative I (FSR I) is responsible for creating, opening, and processing new consumer and business member accounts while providing extraordinary service. This position involves explaining the value, benefits, features, rates, and fees of products and services to members. The FSR I conducts quality interviews with members to meet their needs through credit union products and services, and represents the credit union in a professional manner. The role requires staying current with membership requirements, deposit products, services, loan products, and marketing campaigns. The FSR I will be moved within the region's branch network at the discretion of the home base Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED required; community college coursework is desired.
  • One to three years of similar or related experience.
  • Completion of Lending Class, New Accounts training, Sales and Service Training, and Teller training required.
  • Ability to operate computer terminal and other office equipment accurately.
  • Outgoing personality and helpful member service attitude.
  • Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and implement changing policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of teller transactions relevant to the position.
  • Familiarity with home banking and bill paying services.
  • Some knowledge of emerging computer technology.

Responsibilities

  • Creates new membership accounts.
  • Opens and processes required documentation for all types of consumer and business deposit accounts.
  • Conducts quality interviews with members using sales and service training.
  • Completes quality consumer loan applications over the phone or in person.
  • Communicates decisions to members in a positive manner.
  • Disburses loans in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for sales of ancillary products on qualified loan applications.
  • Maintains a high level of productivity by meeting or exceeding established goals.
  • Orders and statuses ATM and Debit cards.
  • Works to resolve members' concerns and complaints.
  • Makes outbound phone calls to contact members regarding products or services.
  • Completes all required training for the position.
  • Maintains proficiency in all necessary computer systems.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations.
  • Assists the Member Contact Center with overflow calls.
  • Assists the teller line with transactions in case of staffing shortages.
  • Maintains branch office equipment and supplies.
  • Assists in balancing the ATM and Night Depository.
  • Maintains the branch appearance and workspace.
