A Floating Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. A Resource is responsible for working with all the staff members as per the responsibilities assigned by the management. Qualifications: A Floater Staff must meet the qualifications of: - The ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy. - The ability to interact closely with children at their level, within sight and sound supervision at all times. - The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary); - The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents. - The ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies. -The ability to safely walk children from room to room or playground or an outdoor area. -Willing to clean and sanitize surfaces and learning materials regularly and as needed basis - Ability to break teachers during nap times while supervising children actively at all times - Ability to obtain resources to support learning environment in the classrooms -Ability to use ipads for assisting teachers with daily reports A Floater Staff must meet one of the following educational requirements: High School Diploma with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood Development or related field A Child Development Certificate or higher preferred
