About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floating Assistant Teacher to join our team. The position may vary by classroom, but you can expect to assist in activities planned by the Lead Teacher and run some 'behind the scenes' activities that help the classroom run smoothly while the Lead Teacher plans, prepares, and executes lesson. Some important behind the scenes activities include preparing meals and snacks, cleaning up after meals and snacks, diaper changing or assisting in the bathroom, and cleaning the room at the end of the day to prepare for the next school day. Another important job is talking to parents at pick up to tell them how their child's day was and answer any classroom related questions they may have.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One or more years of related experience or relevant coursework.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate using proper English grammar.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of individuals, including staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities planned by the Lead Teacher.
