About The Position

The Floater Teller is responsible for performing a broad variety of financial services at multiple locations, including teller functions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances. The role also involves customer service functions like opening and closing accounts, renewing certificate accounts, and assisting customers with bookkeeping and checking account problems. The Floater Teller acts as a customer advocate, resolving inquiries and problems promptly and courteously, while maintaining strong professional relationships and cross-selling services as required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience/cash handling required.
• Understanding of Bank operations preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
• Good math and typing skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Teller experience preferred.
• Experience with risk management skills.
• Familiarity with integrated teller advanced functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial service functions effectively and professionally.
• Present and explain Bank services and products to clients.
• Assist clients with disputes involving Bank online, Master Money, ATM services, or deposit accounts.
• Meet goals set on scorecard.
• Receive deposits and loan payments in person or by mail.
• Process cash advances, travelers' checks, cashiers' checks, money orders, and government bonds.
• Disburse cash or check withdrawals in person, by telephone, or by mail.
• Open and close computer terminal accounts daily.
• Verify transactions and monitor deposit amounts.
• Assist customers with inquiries involving various account types.
• Perform file maintenance and account changes as needed.
• Maintain privacy of customer account information.
• Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly.
• Actively cross-sell Bank services.
• Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
