About The Position

As a Skilled Floater, you will be responsible for performing CNC, Builder, and Body Welder positions as needed. At times it may be necessary to perform any job within the department. Therefore, knowledge and or willingness to learn every job within the department is required. This is a skilled position.

Requirements

Must be willing to be trained and audited for safety, quality, production, 5S
Follow work instructions and do not deviate from them
Ability to use gauges for inspection
Notify supervisor or Line Lead if something is not right
Standing, lifting, twisting, bending
Lifting 40 lbs. frequently, 85 lbs. occasionally in certain jobs/departments
Lifting parts above shoulders
Fast pace and repetitive

Prefer 3 years’ experience

Responsibilities

Duties as assigned day-to-day by your supervisor and/or line leader to cover CNC, Builder, Body Welder positions.
Must be flexible and able to perform any job within the department
Basic adding and subtracting capability
Assist in team problem solving and continuous improvement
Correctly complete start up and shut down procedure on equipment
Ability to change tooling, chuck jaws, tools, collets, inserts, welding tips, welding gas, welding wire, adhere to Bill of Materials, follow work instruction and exploded views.
Willingness to take initiative
Ability to work as a part of a team and lead by example
Assist in on-the-job training to help qualify/requalify new/experienced operators
Must have flexibility to rotate between lines
Must meet safety, quality, production, and 5S goals and requirements
Must have good attendance and performance record
Perform all other duties as assigned
