About The Position

Now Hiring: Full-Time Floater Direct Support Professional – Adult Residential Location: Hagerstown, MD Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour , with potential for higher rates based on relevant experience Schedule: Flexible — Days, Evenings (2 pm–11 pm), Overnights (10 pm–9 am), and Weekends ; Overtime offered but not mandated Make a REAL Difference Every Day! We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Floater DSP to support one dedicated adult residential team and provide coverage where needed. Flexibility is essential , as this role works across all shifts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of documented IDD experience , including significant behavioral management experience .

Requirements

  • Are 18 or older
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 2 years (permit time excluded)
  • Can pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and ergonomic assessments
  • Can attend 3 weeks + 2 days of paid New Hire Training (M–F, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM)
  • Have at least 2 years of IDD experience with documented significant behavioral management experience
  • Are extremely flexible and available to work any shift for this residential team
  • Are caring, dependable, and ready to grow in a rewarding career

Responsibilities

  • Support daily personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
  • Help prepare meals and promote healthy eating
  • Maintain clean and safe living spaces (light housekeeping)
  • Administer medications (training provided)
  • Engage residents in activities and outings
  • Encourage independence and life-skill development
  • Provide behavioral support using structured approaches and de-escalation techniques
  • Be a consistent, positive presence in residents’ lives
