This position involves providing quality, accurate, and timely customer service in a retail banking environment, including daily processing of financial transactions and opening accounts. The role requires outreach to prospects and tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. Responsibilities include outbound sales calls to achieve banking center goals and supporting banking center management.

  • Provide both teller and platform support to minimize client wait times and ensure quality customer service.
  • Perform daily processing of financial transactions, including deposits, handling currency, coin, and cashing checks.
  • Open checking accounts, savings accounts, and provide all other deposit product services.
  • Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts, including savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
  • Cross-sell and make referrals to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing client relationships.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls to clients and prospects, participating in client/prospect calling activities during special deposit/loan campaigns.
  • Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail consumer needs and hand off processing to the appropriate associate.
  • Research and resolve problems and respond to client inquiries on account status.
  • Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve client issues.
  • Enhance individual knowledge to better serve clients by attending relevant sales, service, and product knowledge meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and risk management.
  • Assist banking center associates with daily operations and audit controls.
  • Assist banking center management with on-the-job training of new associates.
  • Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year of experience as a Teller preferred.
