The individual within this role will commute between all Orlando Quest Kids Therapy locations and settings as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in running behavioral programs with advanced accuracy, collecting and analyzing data documentation with precision. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively communicate clinical information among the clinical team and client families in a positive manner. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions during sessions, crisis management, and other clinical situations. Additionally, the role requires expertise in graphing and plotting data, as well as the capability to clearly and consistently deliver verbal commands in English.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older (required)
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • Medicaid Credentialed (required)
  • Experience with high magnitude behaviors and high frequency of behaviors (required)
  • 2+ years of related experience (required)
  • Ability to travel a 15-mile radius based off assigned clinic location for community cases (required)

Nice To Haves

  • A.A./60+ credits of general studies towards degree in Psychology or related field (preferred)
  • Safety care and/or CPI training (preferred)
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavioral programs with developmentally disabled individuals (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Consistently perform duties of Registered Behavior Technician with increased independence, initiative and/or demonstrated ability
  • Document each client’s performance on a daily basis via data collection method specified by assigned BCBA.
  • Implement all aspect of client’s treatment plan as developed by the BCBA.
  • Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of work environments
  • Assist client with toileting, dressing, grooming, and/or feeding as needed.
  • Communicate session outcome with parents/caregivers while maintaining professional boundaries and within the scope of one’s certification.
  • Assist BCBA in developing training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies on a daily basis.
  • Graph all data as assigned.
  • Attend all weekly clinical meetings as an active participant in programmatic discussion.
  • Ensure compliance with any and all regulations pertaining to BACB guidelines as well as Quest’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform job duties in across all Quest Kids settings (i.e., all centers, academy and community) as needed including being reassigned day of as need arises.
  • Effectively perform duties of Registered Behavior Technician with limited shadowing/experience with assigned clients
  • Independently perform reactive strategies confidently and effectively with individuals of all ages and problem behavior.
  • Serve as direct liaison to parents, guardians, teachers or other supports for assigned cases including coordinating schedules with scheduling team, assisting in annual consent collections, etc.
  • Present with willingness to help out with additional tasks (BCBA projects and/or data collection) when needed.
  • Present as a reliable model for incoming RBTs and/or those who may need additional shadowing.
  • Report to work during inclement weather to ensure adequate supervision and care of all program participants. This may include sheltering in place during a hurricane.
