About The Position

As a Charge RN at Chandler Regional Medical Center, a 429-bed non-profit facility that is part of CommonSpirit Health, you will be responsible for overseeing a department of frontline nurses. This role involves advocating for your fellow nurses, supporting them in their professional development, and ensuring their work aligns with the department's operational goals and objectives. You are expected to be accountable, confident, and an excellent communicator, capable of handling both one-on-one interactions and group discussions, including difficult conversations regarding performance. Key duties also include mentoring staff on competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education. You will provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet patient and department needs, evaluate the care provided by staff, and coach them to improve and maintain the standard of care.

Requirements

  • Associates of Nursing (ADN/ASN)
  • Two (2) years of Nursing Experience
  • Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS)
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of experience as a Charge Nurse, House Supervisor or nursing leader
  • One (1) year of experience in inpatient care in a hospital setting
