About The Position

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Float Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position. This role requires travel throughout Bergen County and offers a float differential in pay along with gas mileage reimbursement. The position comes with a sign-on bonus of up to $12,000 and provides an opportunity to work alongside the leadership team at the largest outpatient orthopedic PT/OT provider in New Jersey. Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy Assistant License.
  • Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the local Regional Director and be part of the regional center manager team.
  • Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment programs.
  • Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities.
  • Develop treatment plans and supervise assistants and aides.
  • Contribute to case management and provide quality patient care.
  • Maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients.
  • Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Support a defined number of centers within a geographic region for continuity of care.
  • Follow a defined schedule and be reimbursed for mileage over and above the home center.
  • Be eligible for career ladder advancements.
