About The Position

Full-time Float Patient Service Representative Location: Float across/Working in 7 Birmingham AHI locations including Brookwood, Birmingham, Grandview, Greystone, Homewood, Open Upright, Shelby Schedule - varies, full-time position American Health Imaging, a Lumexa Imaging partner, has a Float Patient Service Representative position in Homewood, Alabama. We are looking for a customer-service focused candidate that is looking to excel in a medical office setting! This is a float PSR position, which means this team member will work in seven American Health Imaging centers across Birmingham, Alabama based on staffing needs.Duties & Responsibilities:

Requirements

• 1-4 Years Experience in Medical Office Setting or Hospital
• Experience in Authorizations and Insurance Verification Preferred
• Ability to Handle Heavy Patient Volume
• Strong Customer Service and Computer Skills
• Ability to Multi-Task
• Medical Terminology Knowledge

Responsibilities

• Schedule Patients for Diagnostic Exams and Procedures
• Assist with Authorization and Verifications
• Checking Patients In / Out
• Answering Multiple Phone Lines
• Provide Accurate and Complete Information to Billing Office
• Insurance Verification
• Ensure Accuracy of Patient Data Entered Into System
• Process Requests and Filing of Patient Records
