Float Nurse LPN RN
About The Position

Our homes have a 5:1 client: nurse ratio to allow for more individualized care. We are seeking float LPNs and RNs to join our team and work with individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries in our residential programs. Requirements
- Valid MA Nursing License.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position.
- Good communication and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate healthcare services to ensure the best possible care for each individual.
- Be a key communicator, connecting with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure everyone’s health needs are met.
- Document nursing interventions and changes, keeping track of everything that impacts each person’s health.
- Maintain medication and treatment orders, ensuring they meet MAP standards, while keeping an eye on any side effects or issues that may arise.
- Teach and train staff in essential personal care techniques, positioning, feeding, and using supportive devices, ensuring everyone is equipped to provide the best care possible.
- Assist individuals with their personal care and daily activities (ADLs), while encouraging them to take control of their lives and responsibilities.
- Accompany individuals to medical appointments and day programs, making sure they receive the care and services they need.
- Take on additional assignments as needed, always working to provide the best support and care possible.
