Working under provider’s direction provides general nursing functions for the practice. Records vital signs, immunizations, provides initial patient assessment, obtains concise patient history, and provides various clinical information and support to providers. Processes and posts information to patient’s chart, educates patients and families regarding medications, treatments and care, and referrals. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Must be willing to travel to multiple locations including Kalamazoo, Paw Paw, Battle Creek, and/or South Haven, sometimes with short notice. Must familiarize self with all providers workflows and their preferences. Must learn practice-specific procedures (ultrasound guided injections, casting, etc.) and maintain any competencies required for the respective practice. Must be adaptable to change and flexible with schedule.
