About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. You will perform computations, other tasks, and report to the Center Administrator. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system, taking vital signs, giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Use your skills to make an impact This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Requirements

  • Must have an Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Allied American Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Foreign Medical and Nurses, National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP), National Association of Healthcare Technicians (NAHT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or Medical Career Assessments (MedCA)
  • 3 plus years of Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy experience in 'back-office' direct patient car
  • Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • CPR Certified
  • Must be flexible to travel within 6 clinics in the Daytona, FL area (North Daytona, Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, East Port Orange, Daytona & South Daytona)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 4+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
