We are currently seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Float Hospice Nurse (RN) to join our well-respected team. Job Overview Title: Float Hospice Nurse (RN) Location: Waterloo, IA ( travel throughout the CVH service area will be required ) Job Schedule: Full Time (1.0 FTE) Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Cedar Valley Hospice offers flexible work arrangements to work around the needs of your family! Adjusted work hours are available. This position requires an average of 1-2 weekends per year and 1-2 weeknights per month of on-call coverage. A holiday on call rotation is also required. Requirements

• Current Iowa state RN license.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn work-related software and have basic typing skills.
• Current Iowa driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance.
• Ability to move 50lbs with our without accommodation.
• In an 8-hour day, employee may remain in a stationary position 1-5 hours and move about inside CVH site offices/locations, meeting spaces, patient residences, and healthcare facility locations 3-7 hours (or vice versa).
• Employment at Cedar Valley Hospice requires being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Boosters are not required) OR have an approved request for reasonable accommodations for a medical, pregnancy, or religious reason, by the start date.
• Pre-employment/post-offer physical, TB, and drug screen required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
• 2 years of recent experience as a nurse in a related field.
• 1 year of experience in hospice or home care nursing.
• Experience working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing assessment of the physical, emotional, and mental statuses of patients/families.
• Provide direct nursing care in compliance with physician’s orders to assigned patients/families.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and updates medication list and plan of care to reflect changes.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in developing and updating the patients’ plans of care.
