Join Air Methods as a Float Flight Nurse and deliver lifesaving critical care across multiple regions. This position supports multiple Community Base Services (CBS) locations, providing advanced pre-hospital and interfacility care for critically ill or injured patients. You’ll assess, triage, and treat complex medical and trauma cases while collaborating with pilots, paramedics, and hospital teams to ensure the highest safety and care standards. This is a heavy travel position requiring flexibility to work a minimum of two 24-hour shifts per week across bases in your licensed states. Candidates must have at least three years of recent critical care or emergency nursing experience, one year of full-time flight experience, and maintain a weight not exceeding 225 pounds in uniform. Specialty certifications including CFRN, CCRN, or CEN, NRP, and an advanced trauma course (TNCC, PHTLS, or equivalent) are required.
