About The Position

The Cook Float is a collaborative member of the Nutrition Services team that follows department recipes and production standards to provide high quality and healthy food in compliance with all food safety regulations for hospital patients, staff, families, and visitors at MultiCare facilities.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Current Washington State Food Handler's Card required.
  • Serve-Safe certification preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years cooking experience in casual to fine dining, hotels or healthcare line cook.

Responsibilities

  • Provide restaurant-style dining while supporting our commitment to using whole, fresh, local, and sustainable products wherever economically possible.
  • Order supplies, prepare food items, ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are met, and maintain cooler and freeze stocks.
  • Utilize strong culinary background in a fast-paced, team-oriented, high volume, and customer service focused environment.
  • Apply an enthusiastic, food-centric attitude and collaborate to provide a quality product and exceptional experience for customers.
