About The Position

Serves as a collaborative, proactive Float Clinic Manager to oversee the daily operations of Dent’s clinics on an as-needed basis. This role is responsible for managing clinic functions efficiently, maintaining high standards of patient care, training of clinic staff, and ensuring smooth operational procedures. Additionally, the role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to various clinic environments while delivering consistent management and/or project support.

Requirements

  • AS or BS Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience working in the healthcare field and 2+ years supervisory experience

Nice To Haves

  • NY State Licensed LPN or RN strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operations of assigned clinics on a float basis, ensuring on-site presence, assisting with shortages in coverage, as well as adherence to clinic policies and procedures
  • Handles any operational issues that arise, including staffing needs, provider troubleshooting, patient complaints or interventions, equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, and facility concerns
  • Ensures high standards of patient care and satisfaction by addressing patient concerns, providing assistance, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Monitors and tracks patient flow processes to minimize wait times and enhance overall clinic efficiency
  • Cross-trains and fills in on any clinic support role (medical assistant, check in/out, LPN (if applicable)
  • Drives standardization and uniformity in process and patient experience across the organizations
  • Drives consistency in clinic operations, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols
  • Acts as a liaison between clinic staff, providers, and administrative teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Reports operational issues and concerns to appropriate Director of Clinical Operations and provides recommendations for improvements
  • Oversees the management of clinic supplies and inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering of necessary materials IF covering a clinic manager/coordinator for a longer period of time that coincides with the end of the month when inventory is due
  • Ensures proper maintenance and functioning of clinic equipment and facilities
  • Provides support and guidance to clinic staff, including orientation and training as needed, as well as addressing performance concerns as needed, provides input used to write annual performance reviews, and discipline as needed
  • Assists in the implementation of new procedures or protocols as directed by senior management if covering a clinic long-term
  • May assist with interviewing and hiring of staff in assigned clinics or across clinics
  • Manages the on-call coverage calendar across clinics
  • Leads projects as assigned by senior leadership
  • Manages clinic manager PTO coverage and coordinates staffing for float staff members to ensure seamless clinic operations
  • Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) as assigned
  • May have direct reports and/or time & attendance supervision responsibilities based on clinic coverage assignments
  • Other duties as assigned and requested
