About The Position

As a Float Certified Medical Assistant, you will provide versatile clinical and administrative support across various departments, ensuring seamless patient care and operational efficiency throughout our facilities. Every day you will expertly triage patients, assist providers with examinations and procedures, manage patient records digitally, and meticulously maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adapting seamlessly to diverse settings. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding adaptability, strong clinical skills, and a proactive, patient-centered demeanor, contributing significantly to optimal patient flow and high-quality care wherever assigned. Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights. Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures. Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider. Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or High School GED
  • May require specialized training, such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician
  • Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire
  • Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire
  • National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire
  • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire
  • Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire
  • Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire
  • Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or Exam
  • Two (2) years Medical Assistant experience.
  • Electronic health record experience.
