About The Position

Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is looking for a Flightline Avionics Technician to join our final phase team in Mobile, AL. The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities helps assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On the shop floor, you’ll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure, and quality. Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience with Applied Science in Avionics, A&P, or FCC license.
  • Ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Willingness to work a rotation shift schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport which allows unrestricted travel.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
  • EASA/TCCA Regulations.
  • Valid A&P or FCC License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Functional Test Procedure (FTP), Pre & Post Flight inspection to prepare built aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness.
  • Operate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect aircraft systems using approved aircraft data.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and engineering data to support tasks.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the allocated man-hour budget and meet safety regulations, quality, and cost guidelines.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance on aircraft systems.
  • Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems, components, or subassemblies to determine nature of malfunction and corrective action required.
  • Maintain close working relationships with assigned lead person regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts.
