About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Quality Senior Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA. We are seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record of leading change, inspiring others, and challenging the status quo. In this role, you will be driving improvements within the program to ensure teams are prepared for and continuously improving with the goal of zero injuries, zero defects, and zero FOD. The selected candidates will have the unique opportunity to transform the work we do toward that end, develop our teams, and integrate across organizations and the enterprise. The selected candidate will be leading and mentoring a team of first-line managers, and managers with employees performing a variety of quality functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with flight line operations
  • 5+ years of experience working within FAA regulations
  • Experience at FAA Part 121/135 operator or Part 145 Repair Station
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test
  • 3+ years of management experience with Quality or Operations or leading managers / teams in Operations and/or Quality positions

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product life cycle
  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
  • Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and productivity
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
