About The Position

We are Lockheed Martin Works independently or leads a team to execute project, schedule, and technical requirements to meet the goals of the test program. Responsible for specification, selection, design, integration, operation and maintenance of airborne data acquisition systems, and their related components. This includes telemetry, flight test specific hardware, or prototypes for flight test evaluation. Oversee installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems, to ensure collected data can be properly displayed, processed, and analyzed. Maintain configuration control, and mission capability of the instrumentation system as well as all associated ground support equipment. Support preflight, post-flight, and control room activities for all scheduled mission. Interface with test ops, maintenance, and management to ensure all instrumentation requirements are coordinated and accounted for. Support occasional travel. A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • BS in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Science, related engineering degrees or equivalent experience.
  • Technical background in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Aircraft systems operations experience.
  • Flight Test experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Curtis Wright, Safran, or similar instrumentation hardware
  • Knowledge of signal conditioning, transducers, and data acquisition principals
  • Knowledge of analog & digital circuit design and analysis
  • Flight test instrumentation operations experience
  • Understanding of IRIG 106 Telemetry Standards
  • Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, function generation, network analyzer, and multi-meter use experience.
  • Detailed electrical design experience
  • Detailed Mechanical design experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings & process specifications
  • CATIA V5 or 3DX experience
  • Experience with tooling, machining or fabrication
  • Assembly/Build Floor support experience
