The LGM-35A Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of War. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor. The Role This key position will lead, motivate and effectively manage ISC personnel in the Sentinel Flight Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT), in support of program Engineering, Manufacturing and Development (EMD) phase activities, testing, production, sustainment and other activities as assigned. They will oversee a dynamic team of multi-disciplinary ISC personnel in conducting systems and mission integration activities and analytics supporting multiple branches providing direct support to the government. This leader will work closely with their government customer and their direct reports to maintain tight alignment with and excellent support of government customer priorities delivering products that meet or exceed expectations. They will interact and cooperate with experts from program aligned University Affiliated Research Centers (UARC) and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) as well as other ISC managers as needed to ensure coordinated delivery of technically sound products and analysis.
