Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. AS AN AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER YOU WILL: - Apply state-of-the-art CFD tools to the design and analysis of flight vehicles. Perform basic CAD geometry manipulation, meshing, setting up and running solutions on local and remote Linux-based clusters, and post-processing results into formats suitable for engineering analyses (data sets, plots, images, etc.). - Have an understanding of a variety of fluid flow phenomena, including compressibility, turbulence, and heat transfer - Perform analyses related to missile launch vehicle systems, re-entry bodies, and satellites using various modeling and simulation methods and analytical techniques - Author technical memos and provide recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, and presenting analysis results to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings - Be willing to work odd hours and overtime on occasion.
