About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic Flight Safety Data Analyst to turn operational and investigative data into actionable safety insights. In this role, you will oversee safety databases, identify trends, and create dashboards that inform risk management strategies across the Bell enterprise. Your work will be instrumental in fostering a strong safety culture through initiatives such as audits, evaluations, and investigations, ensuring processes remain effective and compliant. As the central point for accident data entry and analysis, you will assess the safety performance of Bell rotorcraft while providing timely mishap notifications to Bell personnel. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or science discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management with the ability to create dashboards and charts using tools like Power BI or Excel. Experience with statistical methods (regression, correlation, trend analysis) is a plus.
  • 3 years experience with safety analytics, preferably in aviation safety.
  • Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, Flight Safety team members, and enterprise leaders at all levels. Skilled in delivering clear and concise briefings to senior leadership and regulatory authorities

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees and certification in Aviation Safety and Data Analysis will be considered as additional experience.
  • Prior experience in the following areas preferred: Pilot, Airframes and Powerplant Certification, or military equivalency

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as focal point for incoming information pertaining to mishaps involving rotorcraft
  • Ingest, validate, and analyze safety data on a daily basis
  • Update Bell mishap database with the latest relevant information concerning aircraft and accidents
  • Distribute initial notification of accidents to appropriate Bell departments
  • Conduct statistical analyses of mishap data to support requirements of internal and external custome
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure compliance with continued operational safety requirements, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all documentation.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
