Vighter is recruiting healthcare professionals (HCPs) to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) teams during on-ground assessments and during deportation flight missions from Tampa, FL. Registered Nurses (RN) provide in-flight nursing services to DHS/ICE detainees being repatriated to their countries of origin. The RN will review medical records to determine if detainees are capable of flying and will provide general nursing services during the flight. The employee must be able to make decisions in accordance with protocols as this position is granted a high degree of autonomy. HCPs work administratively under the Project Manager and supervisors who collaborate with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Healthcare is delivered in accordance with approved medical protocols and in compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives. Vighter’s HCPs work alongside uniformed DHS and ICE at numerous locations in Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Arizona, California, Wisconsin and Louisiana. The medical staff must be capable of providing health care services for persons of all ages, to include infants, children, adults, and pregnant females. Candidates must be comfortable working in detention and flight settings. Services may be provided in a field setting with minimal facilities, a soft-sided (tent-type) facility, or a secure detention facility, such as a DHS/ICE Station or outpost collocated with international airports in sector, and in flight between the United States and various other countries. This is an amazing opportunity to work with diverse populations alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.
