About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI) to support the Flight Line Quality Family based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on variable shift. As an FRTI supporting Boeing 787 Fleet, qualified candidates will verify and inspect routine final component installation, as well as support system operational functional validation testing. Flight Readiness Technicians Inspectors verify and inspect rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, including, supporting troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and verification of maintenance and modification actions for delivery of aircraft. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to aircraft safety and quality while working in a flight line environment around live aircraft. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
• 1+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
• 1+ years of flight line operations experience.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends.
• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of equivalent education and/or experience strongly preferred
• FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or signed FAA Form 8610-2.
• 787 Program Experience.
• Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience.
• Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
• Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications.
• Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.).

Responsibilities

• Performs verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
• Inspects and verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or faults and documents faulty components.
• Conducts inspection of pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification prior to delivery.
• Supports documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
• Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance inspections in preparation for delivery.
• Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
• Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.
• Inspects, documents, and creates non-conformance records with minimal assistance.
• Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job.
